Vatican III Ad

Introduction

A pretty simple, no-brainer ad. A parody of Jaws III. There were two ways of doing white text on a black background back then. There was the hard way that rarely ever worked and the expensive way that worked but would make the editor yell at you. The expensive way was to typeset it as black text on a white background and then shoot it with a stat cam. You would load up the stat cam with this expensive reversal film and it would then come out as white text on a black background. Whenever I did reversals with the stat cam, Larry Deck would yell at me for wasting such expensive stat cam film. The hard way was to use Ventura 1.1. You had to get about 14 different settings right in Ventura or else the white text wouldn't over print the black frame when it came out on the laser printer.
